Keep the beach and cape Cod close to home
How do you keep the beach and Cape Cod close to you year-round? Sandwich resident Dawn Ventre found the answer in fabric. Inspired by living in a beach community and the “breathtaking beauty and serenity” that constantly surround her, Ventre developed her Cape Codz pillow collection. The designer’s mother has long sewn soft, adorable frogs and Ventre was inspired to put her own spin on the native cod. The “clean, contemporary” design of the pillows complement any décor and are sure to start a conversation as the “chin” of each cod is adorned with a hand-sewn shell beard.
The pillows, either an 18” square or 20” by 26” decorative sham, are made from natural organic canvas with a detail of hemp herringbone fabric, and come in black, chocolate brown, and sand. Ventre will also be offering a recycled jean fabric on her website soon.
