Refined Luxury Overlooking Conservation Land

Sitting snugly in Mashpee’s peaceful gated Willowbend community is a charmingly unique residence unlike many other Cape inspired gems. Custom built in 2001, its immaculate architecture and design makes this home suitable for a large family with discerning tastes.

Large white pillars grace the outside entryway of the home and behind them elegant doors open onto the heart of the home. An impressive cathedral ceiling and a second floor balcony wow guests upon entering the spacious foyer. Thick pillars, similar to the ones adorning the outside of the home, lead guests down a lavish hallway, where each room flows seamlessly into the next. A gas fireplace with detailed wooden moldings gives a cozy feel to the main family room, and a wall of windows with an additional sliding door opens onto the manicured backyard overlooking a backdrop of conservation land. The openness of the two living lounges, large dining area, and chic kitchen, equipped with granite countertops and a quaint breakfast bar, is ideal for entertaining, as guests can spread out and mingle among the different areas.

Much of the beauty of this home is found in all the detailed elements such as the stunning dental molding that decorates the perimeter of the ceiling and adds to the modern castle-like appeal of the home. Also opulent are the sandy tone walls and crisp white trim, which compliments the dark oak and mahogany stained floors used throughout the home.

The master suite lies conveniently in its own corridor on the first floor. Custom built his and hers walk-in closets lend the bedroom a royal feel, as nothing more than a large majestic bed is needed to accompany the warming fireplace. The adjoining master bath is a stand out, with polished a limestone floor and luxurious Jacuzzi bath, resting under an archway held up by small pillars. Other features in the master bath include a graceful vanity, wide, open shower, and built-in towel heater.

Because large homes can easily feel disconnected, an effort was made to make the upstairs family room feel comfortable and private. The room remains connected to the other rooms by a balcony-style hallway overlooking the downstairs living room. Further down the hallway, a set of ten-foot double doors opens up to an airy bedroom, with its own sliding doorway leading out to an extensive upper deck, and a master bath across the hall, with a full shower and separate Jacuzzi.

Another stairway on the other side of the home leads up to an intimate den, two bedrooms, and a full bath. This private quarter is a nice area for children and teens to hang out and share laughs without feeling too isolated.

Just as the house is perfect for entertaining, a spacious and sumptuous guest house, connected by a two-car garage, offers visitors their own space to sleep and lounge. Cathedral ceilings open up the guest house’s kitchen and living room where sunlight shines in from a back deck. The intimate cottage’s chic bedroom and bathroom is a perfect place for guests to end a fun day on the Cape, whether at the beach or on two nearby Willowbend golf courses. An additional golf garage enables the avid athlete to hop into a cart and take a short drive down to the country club for a round on the championship 18-hole golf course. If golf isn’t on the agenda, residents can squeeze in a nice workout at the fitness center or take a dip at the community pool.

Every bit of detail, from the intricate scallop shells carved into the corners of trimming on each doorway and window, to the grand doorways and impressive plantation shutters installed on almost every window, is what makes this home special, luxurious, and livable. The property is a real treat for any family to enjoy and its tranquil Willowbend location only adds to the sweetness.
