A Wedding Insider's Guide from 'Yes' to 'I Do'
Colorful Choices
Summers on Cape Cod are a beautiful and a wonderful time to get married. However, a winter wedding can be a unique and great way to gather family and friends together when the Cape is calm and peaceful. I LOVE when a potential client emails us at Desiree Spinner Events (DSE) about an “off-season” wedding! There are so many wonderful venues that offer great rates for couples that want to tie the knot November through May.
Winter weddings also lend themselves to some color choices that we do not always see in the warmer weather months. During this season, I particularly love Pearl, Pewter and Winter White. This color palette works well for weddings in the colder months but can easily translate to celebrations all year round. Metallics are on trend and all over fashion magazines for 2011 and remain especially popular because they are timeless and classic. With a monochromatic color palette like this you will never look back at your photos and wonder, “What was I thinking?”
For 2010 weddings and events, gray and yellow were the “it colors.” Various shades and textures of silver and white can be equally modern and a chic twist for winter 2011 weddings. By adding a touch of pearl to the palette, the color scheme becomes perfect for an elegant Cape Cod wedding with sand, surf and sky for a beautiful natural backdrop.
Happy Designing!
